Dulos, 52, put up more than $400,000 in cash on Thursday, Jan. 9, to win his freedom after his arrest on charges of murder, felony murder, and kidnapping, in connection with the disappearance of New Canaan's Jennifer Dulos, officials said.

The fee to obtain a bond in excess of $5,000 is seven percent of the amount plus $150 under Connecticut law.

Before leaving the courthouse just before 1 p.m., the criminal court judge also issued a ruling prohibiting Dulos from having any contact with his five children, their nanny, and their grandmother.

Dulos will be held on house arrest with a GPS monitoring device and will only be allowed to leave his multi-million dollar Farmington home for church services, work-related appointments, and to receive medical care.

Fotis Dulos' ex-lover Michelle Troconis was also released after posting a $1.5 million bond after being charged with conspiracy to commit murder, also on Tuesday.

A third player arrested in the alleged murder of Jennifer Dulos, Kent Mawhinney, a longtime friend and former attorney for Fotis Dulos, is still being held on a $2 million bond.

Mawhinney is not expected to post his $2 million bond.

He was arrested at gunpoint on Tuesday, Jan. 7 following a manhunt by state police.

“Mawhinney, knowing about this warrant, did evade state police for a period of time and was found near the Massachusetts border,” State’s Attorney Richard Colangelo told the judge during a bond hearing on Wednesday, Jan. 8.
